    if you are off-grid and i dont mean a boat or camper van can you get your council tax reduced as i find that it is the one thing that is a real pain as you can can reduce most other costs of living.

    Sadly not. All you can do is benefit from the disdain many feel about the off-grid life – off-grid properties will usually be valued in the lowest band – so you get to pay a thousand a year instead of 1500.

    But then you probably do use the roads, schools, parks, swimming pools, public transport, hospitals and what have you as much as anyone else.
