I am moving to Tarragona in March 2017, we will be renting an off-the-grid property just outside of Ginestar for about a year and during that time I want to connect with other people in the area to collaborate with other off-the-grid and permaculture projects. I have never lived off grid before and am new to the area.

Originally from UK, I have been living in Malaysia for the past 4 years. I don’t plan to go back to UK and had my heart set on Spain for quite some time. I recently did my permaculture design certificate on a 2 week intensive at The Panya Project in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Looking forward to putting my new skills to use and learning much more along the way.

I would love to hear from anyone else in the area.

I am also a professional Belly Dance teacher and performer so I will be doing a lot of that as well. :)

Hello – curious how your stay has gone? I am looking to do the same thing in the next few months – but you have been there for 2 years now? Please update – or let me know how to reach you. Blessings!

Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your website? My blog site is in the very same area of interest as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from a lot of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this alright with you. Appreciate it!

I lived near Ginestar for 7 years, sad to tell you that it is a horrible place, lying “estate agents” sold cheap plots to English and attracted a load of scumbags. Spain is great, but that particular village, area is awful. One friend had his house robbed every time he went to the village. Moroccans and Romanians will work cheap, but will return to rob you. The English mechanic in Ginestar is a crackhead, do not pay him anything in advance or he will smoke it.
