Hello fellow seekers! Here in the high desert of central Oregon, there is a growing community of off grid living. Land is fairly cheap and nearest big town is an hour away! Being “different” is accepted here… all kinds of different have found their way to Christmas Valley!

My partner and I (35 + 38 years young) are starting a community garden here. We have 5 acres currently… slowly being transformed into self sufficiency. Last year… and this year, we are working on a tree nursery to gain funds to further our waking dream. And let me tell you, a tree business in the desert is a golden opportunity!

Have you heard of GaNS plasma? Biochar?  That is also gold for growing here in the desert! Have lots of strategies, ideas,  lots of motivation and drive… But it takes a community to create one!

We have had goats when we first started a few years ago, and plan on more…

Also on the agenda is a big chicken coop and growing veggies… just overall working towards the dream reality. Looking for people who arent afraid of working for it! We have space to build a small cabin or park your off grid living space. There is also land next to us that is cheap if someone is looking for their own piece, but wish to have like minded helping neighbors! There is a lot to talk about, if any of this sparks something in you, write us! Till then… :) Happy Seeking!
