My partner and I are looking for land to put a Yurt on. We would also be interested in starting/joining a community with like minded people.
We currently cruise in and around London on a continuous cruiser licence (not residential mooring)
We would not be in the yurt full time as we would still need to be in London sometimes on our boat.
Living on a boat we are fully conversant with solar power, compost toilets, the value of water and the hard work that a goes with living on the fringes of society.
We are both 40. No children (with no plan to ever have any) and we are long time vegans.
We are not religious people and our politics are extremely left.
I (Fiona) am a Quantity Surveyor with 18 years of construction experience. However I am also a ceramic artist and potter (kitchenware/garden ware mostly). I am a skilled knitter/crochet, i can make soap, all types of natural skin care products. I also make candles and a skilled gardener.
My partner is a skilled hairdresser and has excellent general building skills.
If anyone has any advice or thinks we would suit their community, please get in touch.
Alternatively, if anyone has land or information on land. Please let us know.
