[before_listing images= youtube=null] We are looking to move off-grid. We are also wanting to build earthships with multiple integrated biological systems. We have some experience already with worms, aquaponics, fuel from waste , methane biodigesters, rocket stove, vermiculture, agriculture, spirulina, alternative energy and construction and more. Also, looking to even chat or share any all ideas. Our next step I think is to make the move. Just need the right place and of course support of other people already off grid. At least at first. Thanks for reading and give us a shout anytime.[landbuddy_listing youtube=null]

One Response to “Want to go off grid, need land and help.”

Have you had any luck finding land in the area? I too have aspirations of taking myself off the grid and moving back to a life with roots deep in the region, literally. My dream includes a small alternative house with lots of good clean dirt around it to nourish my son and I. I have a million dreams but need to meet with like minded people to see what Waterloo region will allow us to build/develop or ‘camp’ on. We have lived extensively in the Caribbean working with NGO’s and I feel its time to make my nest again here close to home. I would however prefer a social society with like minded individuals who are not afraid to tell themselves no for the greater good. Who are dedicated to hard work and innovation through techniques past and present. Is there anybody out there….or better yet anywhere in the region who is open to this kind of settlement putting down roots?
