[before_listing images=http://www.www.off-grid.net/wp-content/uploads/da027239766b0233c93693031266a6d5.jpg youtube=null] 54 year old male – married 33 years
2 year degree in Electronics, Licensed Industrial Electrician.
Looking to go off grid very soon.
After researching different building methods and have some work experience with building permits hydro inspections etc. the best bang for the buck I can come up with is building yurts in an unincorporated township.
I have no intention of leaving technology behind but I also know all about what maintenance takes so low tech, low maintenance is best.
Hoping to grow this into at least a village
so looking for like minded.
Been trying my hand at gardening and have an under performing aquaponic system running.
Looking to become self sufficient in food, heat and hydro to start.
Have some woodworking, auto mechanics and computer skills ( work mostly programing building automation ).
