[before_listing images= youtube=null] Hello, everyone! I am 30 years old and for the last few years I have moved closer and closer to being self-sustained. As anyone who has tried knows, it is a long and difficult process to pull away from the “mainstream”. After a lot of time and effort, I feel I am ready to go off the grid. I am single however, and the idea of trying to go off the grid all by myself seems like a daunting notion. I am looking for some like-minded individuals to help get a start, or an existing community to be a part of.
A little about myself – I have a college education (not that it can help specifically, just so you know I can learn and that I am dedicated). I have a great deal of construction experience (concrete, carpentry, painting, building in general). I am very fit and hard working. I can grow just about anything. I currently grow my own parsley, basil, oregano, cilantro, bell peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes, dandelion, squash, oranges, strawberries, melon etc, etc… I am a professional scuba diver by trade (instructor/divemaster/photographer/videographer)and I barter my services for just about everything.
I’m am spiritual but not religious…frankly I don’t care what you believe as long as you’re not insisting I believe the same. I will of course, give you the same courtesy. I love music and play a few instruments. I have a dog and a cat…both of which are very well behaved and easy to maintain (where I go, they go =)). I love nature and have great passion for it. I’m fairly knowledgeable of the wilderness. I cook, clean and consider myself a responsible person. I love people, but truly feel society as a whole has been herded into an unnatural state of being. I think there are many people who feel the same.
I have a great deal of life experience and there is so much more to tell. I would love to get to know you, too! Please feel free to contact me if you think you would be interested in brainstorming… or if you feel like you have somewhere I may be able to contribute. I think a solid, realistic plan is a great place to start. Thank you and PEACE! [landbuddy_listing youtube=null]
