[before_listing images=http://www.www.off-grid.net/wp-content/uploads/9d188e3d9427689327630f8cedb86126.jpg youtube=null] My name is alex and im 22 still living at home. im looking to be more adventurous by hiking and backpacking, and bushcrafting. The problem is I dont have the money but I am a hard worker and willing to learn everything I can so I can be more independent. My inspiration for all this is Christopher McCandless. While he is my inspiration, I do not wish to entirely follow in his footsteps and die in the wild from eating the wrong plant. I see my friends and family all depending on technology far more than they should and I feel that I should work towards learning how to live off grid. Any help you could provide I would be most grateful and thankful beyond words. I can move at anytime, I am looking for people willing to teach and can help me be free from my government. I am not looking for super extremists looking to fight the government or for free spirit love the earth people, im looking for down to earth people that just want to live a free lifestyle and can depend wholly upon themselves. Alex,
I have read into the wild at least a dozen times and I have been to many of the places he lived in the West. In the book Krakauer also talks about another guy named Everett Ruess who also vanished in rural Utah and still has never been found. Anyway I bought 50 acres near where he vanished. Its a great place. We bought a saw mill and are in the process of cutting lumber to build a cabin. You are welcome to come here. I am working on all the same things you are interested in. If you are willing to help us cut wood, work in garden, build cabins, etc I will take care of your place to live and help you get everything you need to be totally self sufficient yourself. You can select a piece of property on our place and build your own house using all my equipment and wood from the forest. Anyway email me if you are interested evilorangecat22@gmail.com
