I’m trying this picture thing again. Here’s a blog entry that shows one of our electric assist bikes. This one is going to be my farm truck. It is a great bike with a 440 lb weight capacity. I am part prepper too, I think anyone who isn’t preparing to some degree these day is living in lala land.

We have upgraded our 1920’s house in a downtown area to grid tied solar, solar hot water, foam insulation, wood cookstove, and our yard is mostly edible landscaping. We also installed cisterns to catch the rainwater off of half of the roof and used that water to flush toilets and do our outside watering. Actually we also use the cistern water to drink and cook with after we run it through a berkey filter because we don’t like the chlorine and flouride in our cities water. For our intown transportation we use electric assist cargo bikes. You are welcome to check the blog out, there are a lot of entries about the steps we took to finish this house. Have fun, we did!

I tried to put a picture on, thought I had followed the direction, but no luck. I thought I would introduce us. We live in S Missouri in a grid tied house in a pretty big town. We are building a off grid cabin now and hopefully I can figure out the picture thing so I can post a picture of it. I love reading the posts of people actually doing great things. I will be watching and posting. Nice to meet you! Rick
