Malaysian Chinese. Grew up in small fishing village in West Malaysia where a lot of schoolfriends lived off-grid ( wood cooking fires, kerosene lamps etc. ). Way of life there currently being threatened by huge power plant that might kill off a lot of the sea grass beds. Want to try living that way here, but it's a lot colder. Mainly looking for land to cultivate for fruit tree and veg ( my Dad has a smallholding already, but it's a long way away ).
