Can anyone recommend a good company to insure a minibus with, most companies are reluctant to insure vehicles that have been modified, which is exactly what I want to do. thanks

Tesco are cheap but if you are truthful in your replies, as you must be with insurance, then they tend to reject anything which is not mainstream or has been modified.

I have found that one flexible group to deal with are Downunder Insurance based in London. As their name suggests they specialise in Antipodeans coming to London to buy a van and travel around Europe, so they don’t worry about modifications.

We found it very difficult to find an insurer for our van because we had converted it ourselves but in the end we went with adrian flux

There is a firm called Comfort who specialise in motorhome and van insurance and they will insure you if you are living fulltime in it.
