    Hi Guys,

I’m new to this forum but not new to http://www.www.off-grid.net (I know Nick and have spent several years reading this website).

I’ve just started a new off-grid project where I will be building a live-aboard boat.

I intend to use all the best self-sufficiency technologies and they will be just as appropriate for domestic land-based residences as they are for boats.

I’m gonna need a lot of help with this project, so I’ll be spending plenty of time on this forum.

I’ll be documenting my progress on my google blog (http://off-grid-on-boat.blogspot.co.uk/).

Hopefully the solutions to my technical challenges will be of use to members of this forum.

    Best regards,

    Mark

Good luck Mark. I myself don’t like going out in water any further than i can swim and yes i can swim for hours.

No taxes on your venture seems great unlike us landowners.. But mine are under 600.00 a yr total.

I also have to have trees near me for shade from the sun which burns the skin on people like me.

I guess solar and wind will be a positive aspect of your venture.
