This is a plan view for a home design I have in mind. This uses 2 53 foot ocean containers. They are set 16 feet apart and earth is bermed around them on the outsides. beams span from container to conatainer to form a sod roof. The middle section is recessed to provide a bit more ceiling height. The containers also have a sod roof. Windows are between the beams to provide day lighting. The berm is not necissarily all the way to the top of each container. small sky lighting can be in and around the tops of the containers for letting some day light into the containers. The ends of the area in the middle are walled in with double doors at least on one end to make moving furniture in easy. Not a lot more to it than that. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Where is this earthship located? I mean state and general region of state. What elevation? Just curios. Did you do all the labor yourself in construction? I am guessing you were outside city limits where code was not a problem?
