CAN’T SLEEP AT THE THOUGHT OF GOING OFF GRID?

Hi, we are very eager to move on some land and begin our road to being self sufficient and off grid. With that being said I’d like to begin with what we are looking for: solar and wind power, vegetable gardening, hunting, working with and around farm animals for what they provide, i.e. Chicken, milk and meat etc. And we would like to do this on no less than 10 acres, if we do it ourselves we can settle for 5 or 6 acres. We would also like to keep it around the South to South west Tennessee and the north east to North Central to North West Alabama area. Here’s a little bit about me: I hunt, have knowledge of dressing an animal, I can build and also have knowledge of growing plants, trees, and vegetables, my wife has medicinal knowledge, can cook, jar and preserve food, and likes harvesting of vegetables and fruits, she also can clean like a madman haha. Me and my wife both drink on occasion and we do smoke socially, we’re trying to quit the smoking part ( cigarettes).
