Enschede, off the grid

Hi everyone,

I’m totally new to this lifestyle and I would like to start the change by both learning on the web as well as communication with those of you who are experienced.

Like most of you my main goal is to become self-sufficient in every aspect of my life.

One of my main concerns is the food which I strongly believe must be provided by myself instead the industry.
As well as the reliving idea of “getting back to basics” which gives me huge peace of mind: living for REAL and escaping the superficial way living imposed to us!

Currently I live in Enschede,Netherlands and I wonder if anyone would be interested in the region to start off/share/cooperate the path.

Since I am a student in Enschede, I can only afford starting this lifestyle in school breaks. I’ll definitely keep the VillageSpain in mind specially that I adore the southern Spain.

Hi Parastoo, nice to read your entry. One nice way of starting is learning about wild food, edible plants, making shelters. I likes the course by Extra Survival…

Hi Parastoo, try and learn some basic crafts – Roberts suggestion for starters (Extra is great) – and do some experiments (wood building, electrical basics, square ft gardening, active and pasive solar). great motivation can be found in Lamar’s homesteading booklet (google). Enjoy!
