by NICK ROSEN on MARCH 21, 2005 - 2 Comments in EVENTS

How do you relax? Yes, you , dear reader. We want to hear from you.

Meditation? Long walks? Weekends in the woods? What about short moments of relaxation? Do you have a special way to relax and drop off the grid for those moments or hours or days. Or even not such a special way. When you just want to get away from it all, what is the best thing to do? Post your comments below or contact relax@off-grid.net. We will be publishing the best ideas.

The most relaxing thing I do is splitting wood. I take all my frustrations, tension, energy and thoughts; transfer it to the ax head and then WHAM. Very useful that I end up with split pieces as well.

I like to cook….the old-fashioned way, hand mixing and chopping by hand. I find the necessity to pay attention as I chop, chop, chop forces me to focus myself mentally on the here and now, rather than let my thoughts wander to all the chores, responsibilities and “things i gotta do” and often threaten to overwhelm.
